This ornamental grass will only grow to 12" tall. Has dense tufts of glaucous blue leaves. Both the foliage and flowers of blue hair grass are attractive and enhancing. The basal growth is a small dense blue mound. The flower spikes form on slender but stiff upright stems that grows to approximately 18 inches tall. During the time of flowering, the spikes turn a soft yellow and contrasts to the basal tuft below for a very attractive appearance.
