Deer Greens Food Plot Seed

Deer Greens food plot seed is an annual blend which has high nutritive value retained well after the first frost and in fact, palatibility for deer increases after a frost. Deer Greens performs best when the soil pH is between 6.5 and 7.5 and soil fertility is high. Sprouting usually occurs after 5 to 10 days depending on soil temperature and reaches 30" in just few weeks.

Deer Geens is intended for use as an attractant for deer and other wildlife. Plant this deer food plot seed 30 - 90 days before deer season if possible to allow adequate growth. This ensures that there will be enough forage to keep the deer coming back to your location for several weeks or even months.

Winfred Brassica will grow into a great tasting green with high vitamin and mineral content. The leaves of this plant are sweet tender and crunchy especially when harvested after exposure to cool frosty weather. Deer just love this food plot after a frost.

Purple top turnips can produce a nutritious, highly palatable feed in around 12 weeks from sowing. The turnip crop is flexible. Purple top turnips maintain their feed value for a large period and unlike grasses, can be grazed long after the plants have matured.

Deer Greens can easily be hand or mechanically seeded. Just broacast the seed over the area your choosing. Just 5 lbs of deer greens will cover up to 1 acre. For best results, apply a nitrogen fertilizer, such as a 15-15-15, at time of planting.

Because of its quick growth, Deer Greens can be successfully planted from early spring until late fall. Deer Greens is very cold tolerant and will continue to grow until it is exposed to several hard frosts.
