Ageratum (Ageratum Mexicanum Pink) - Hundreds of showy cushions on this pink flowered Ageratum. This Ageratum grows to about 12 inches tall and is great for either beds or containers. Ageratum Mexicanum blooms all summer, and the butterflies love it. It is also an excellent fresh cut flower. The more you cut, the more flowers the plant produces. The bloom has a long vase life, and it also dries well. To dry, cut when bloom is still tight, and hang to dry indoors out of direct light. In the dried state, ageratum is useful in wreaths and arrangements. Ageratum are liberal self-sowers. Deadhead to keep the Ageratum flower seed from spreading in the the garden. Plant or transplant after danger of frost. Full sun in cooler climates, part shade elsewhere.
