Aster (Aster Alpinus Mix) - Attract both bees and butterflies to your garden with Aster Alpinus. This mix of pale lavender, blue, pink, and white shades with a distinct crested center will look perfect in your rock garden. Aster Alpinus is used primarily in the rock garden, but can be planted in any place there is well-drained, rich soil in a sunny location. If planting in warmer zones such as 7 - 8, you may consider using mulch with grass clippings or peat moss around root systems in mid June to protect tender root systems from extreme heat. Keep well watered in dry periods and remove faded blooms regularly to prevent disease.
