Bellflower (Campanula Longistyla Isabella) - Isabella features purple bell-shaped flowers 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches long with the flowers trailing at the very end of the green foliage. Isabella is hardy and upright. It produces blooms from late spring to fall. Requires consistently moist soil; do not let Bellflower dry out between waterings. Isabella establishes nicely from flower seed. In fact, it self-sows freely, so deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season.
Bellflower flower seed requires light to germinate, so don't cover with soil. Instead, lightly press the seeds into the soil to ensure good contact and keep moist until germination. If starting flower seeds indoors, use a seed-starting mix and bottom water so mold won't form on the mix.
