Gloxinia flower seed comes in a beautiful mixture of red, blue, and white blooms. These compact plants blossom four to six months after sowing. They will flower for for about 2 months, go dormant for about 2 months, and then starts growing again to start flowering.
Gloxina flower seeds are a bit tricky to grow. Do not cover the seeds after sowing since they need light to germinate. Seeds should germinate in about 3 weeks at 70-75 degrees. Soil should be kept uniformly moist, but do not keep wet. Avoid watering the crown of the plant as this might cause the plant to rot, and use room temperature water. Gloxinia needs lots of light, but no direct light. Gloxinia's do best in temperatures around 70 degrees, and when blooming love it when it's about 65 degrees. After blooming, keep watering to a minumum and don't fertilize.
