Private is a new generation, heat and disease tolerant, decumbent, very dark green, photoperiod sensitive, endophyte enhanced (>90%) perennial ryegrass variety. Private can be utilized in all perennial ryegrass applications but will be promoted in the transitional climates where heat and disease have been limiting factors to permanent perennial rye grass turf utilization. Private forms a leafy fine textured turf with rapid seedling germination, excellent traffic tolerance and polyspecie compatibility. Plant growth of perennial ryegrass is dominated by aggressive basal tillering in contrast to vegetative stolons (above ground) and rhizomes (below ground).
Gator 3 is an elite, new and improved, heat and disease tolerant, very dark green, fine bladed variety. Gator 3 is an endophyte enhanced perennial ryegrass with >94% Neotyphodium lolii endophyte which provides resistance to a number of leaf and crown feeding insects and nematodes. It is highly recommended for permanent turf utilization in areas where heat and humidity may limit the adaptation of perennial ryegrass turf. In addition Gator 3 is recommended for winter overseeding of dormant warm season turfgrass species. Plant growth of perennial ryegrass is dominated by aggressive basal tillering in contrast to vegetative stolons (above ground) and rhizomes (below ground).
This perennial ryegrasses is designed for full sun areas, but will tolerate some shade. Elf variety is bred to give a pleasing dark color (slightly darker than dandy), with a fine texture and excellent mowing qualities. It is also slower growing than the "Dandy" variety which means you don't have to mow as often. Elf is a very good choice for blends with Kentucky Bluegrass and Fine Fescue; used extensively in warmer climates for overseeding. Proven to recover quickly from high stress of either heat or drought. Resilient under stress and performs well in high usage areas - recovers quickly. Can make a useable lawn in 3 weeks. The high level of endopyte in Elf Perennial Ryegrass provides improved resistance to several turfgrass insects; also has a high resistance to many turfgrass diseases.
An elite, new generation, heat and humidity tolerant, very dark green, fine textured variety. All Star tied for the best overall turf quality in the most recent 1999 NTEP Perennial Ryegrass Progress Report 01-1 across twenty-eight (28) U.S. and Canadian locations. All Star is an endophyte enhanced perennial ryegrass with > 85% Neotyphodium lolii endophyte which provides resistance to a number of leaf and crown feeding pests and improved tolerance to abiotic (non-living) and biotic (living) stress. It is highly recommended for permanent turf application in the Mid-Atlantic and U.S. transition zone where heat and humidity may limit the adaptation of perennial ryegrass turf. In addition All Star is recommended for winter overseeding of dormant bermudagrass.
A brand new perennial ryegrass released from Bailey Seed Company, TeeLee is showing outstanding growth characteristics, disease resistance, stress tolerance, and recuperative characteristics in East Coast states and the surrounding area. TeeLee ranked very high in the lastest NTEP trials for multiple categories.
Emergence in 3-7 days under proper conditions. First mowing 2 weeks after emergence.
