Sedum Voodoo Groundcover Seed

Sedum (Sedum Spurium Voodoo) - What a spectacular ground cover plant! Sedum Voodoo will be sure to catch the eyes of everyone who passes by with its deep red flowers and mahogany red foliage. It makes a dramatic display for a little plant! This hardy perennial Sedum quickly grows to 6 inches tall and spreads to 18 inches in width while thriving in hot, dry soil. The only requirement is that it has good drainage and a sunny or partial shade setting.

Sedum Voodoo is perfect for edging, container plantings, stepping stones, rock gardens, and as a mass planting flowering ground cover. Deer generally stay away from Sedum, but butterflies love it. Sedum Spurium cultivars also make great additions to rock and rooftop gardens.

Sedum Voodoo is propagated from ground cover seed. Sedum has tiny seeds which should be mixed with finest sand or talcum for an even sowing. Sow Sedum ground cover seed indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last frost is expected. Use small pots or flats and sterile starter mix. Pre-moisten the starter mix and sow Sedum ground cover seeds on the surface. Press the seed into the moistened soil, and do not cover the Sedum seed. Keep the seeds moist but not saturated until they germinate. Water from the underside of the pots or use a spray bottle and lightly mist the seeds. Once established, this is a very drought tolerant ground cover plant.
