Sorghum Sudan Pasture Grass Seed

Sorghum-Sudangrass is early maturing, reaching the mid-bloom stage 43 to 50 days after planting. Mature plant is 30 to 36 inches in height. The seed becomes palatable at maturity and are readily consumed by upland game birds such as quail, turkey, pheasant, and prairie chicken, and by migratory birds such as duck, geese, and dove. Deer have also been known to feed on the grain.

Planting Date: In spring and summer after danger of frost
Planting Rate: 10 lbs per acre in 30" rows or 30 lbs per acre broadcast or 1 lb per 1,000 sq. ft.
Planting Depth: Seed should be covered approximately 1/2" deep but not over 1"
Days to Maturity: Forage is produced 30 days after emergence
