Boston Pickling Cucumber

CUCUMBER, BOSTON PICKLING
This cucumber plant produces heavy yields of small 6" long pickling type cucumbers. This variety has been grown by home gardeners for generations. Perfect for making pickles, but also good in salads. Harvest cucumbers when they are 2" to 6" long. This old and very reliable Pickling Cucumber is a very high yielder that bears lovely cucumbers continuously provided the cucumbers are harvested continually and are not allowed to over-mature and become yellow. Productive vines produce a large quantity of little blocky, green cucumbers with black spines that are just the right size for use as pickles.

These little black-spined cukes are just the right size for pickling. But try them sliced in salads, too, and enjoy their exceptional flavor. Expect heavy yields from the productive vines. Pick when cucumbers are 2 to 6 inches long.
