SQUASH, BLACK BEAUTY (ZUCCHINI)
A very popular variety of summer squash. Fruit is dark green, glossy and tapers towards each end. Plants are compact and easy to grow producing an abundance of fruit throughout the summer. Delicious when baked, boiled, fried, steamed and raw in a variety of recipes. Dark green fruits are nearly black in color and cylindrical in shape. Bush plants produce loads of 6-8" long fruits that are 2" in diameter. Tender but firm flesh is creamy white with a small seed cavity. Very easy to grow from vegetable seed.

SQUASH, YELLOW SUMMER CROOKNECK
Another must have for vegetable gardening. This squash is a bush type plant produces copious yields of buttery-yellow squash with narrow curved neck. This squash is very tender and full of flavor. Golden summer turns deeper yellow as it matures. Best harvested when 8" long. Keep them picked and they will just keep coming. Extremely easy to grow. Golden Summer Crookneck is one of the earliest producing crookneck squash on the market that just keeps producing all summer long. Harvest when skins cannot be pierced with a fingernail. Burgess Buttercup Squash

SQUASH, BURGESS BUTTERCUP
Dark green fruit with dry, sweet, rich flavored golden flesh. Excellent for winter storage. Extra rich and sweet in flavor, the deep orange flesh is firm and smooth. The blocky 6-8 in. wide x 3½-4 in. long dark green fruit have a small gray button at the blossom end and grow on a full vine. This Burgess strain is the very best Buttercup to grow for long-term storage.

The Squash Winter Burgess Buttercup is arguably the best tasting and best flavored winter squash so is a wonderful addition to a vegetable garden. The Burgess Buttercup Squash has very sweet, stringless, and fiberless flesh. Being a winter squash, it will store for several months. The 6 foot vines have flattened turban-shaped squash that are 5 to 8 inches in diameter and about 4 pounds in weight. Plant in the spring, 2 to 4 weeks after the last average frost date. Squash prefers well drained, rich soil with lots of organic matter. Harvest after first or second light frost. They should be harvested when you can't dent the hard skin with your finger.
