Plume grass is one of the tallest grasses that is hardy above Zone 6. In fall, it will have large, beige, feather duster-like plumes are borne above 36 to 48 inch foliage at a height of 9 to 14 feet. A mature clump may number as many as 50 of these plumes. In autumn, foliage and stems turn from pale green to varying shades of bronze and red.

Note: If desiring a 2 - 3 foot clump, use 100 seeds in a 2 foot diameter area when planting.
