Morning Glory Red Picotee

Morning Glory (Ipomoea Nil Red Picotee) - We have the Japanese to thank for this brilliant star-shaped, rosy red morning glory with a white edge grown from flower seeds. The Japanese started selecting morning glories in the 9th century, and this Red Picotee is one of their most stunning. Ipomoea nil Red Picotee, the Japanese Morning Glory, sports huge blooms with a pronounced unique star shape. This morning glory seed sports a combination of a rosy red flower with a white edge. The extraordinary blooms are 5 to 6 inches wide! This is a show-stopper of a morning glory and a very rare selection indeed!

Red Picotee, with its star-shaped blooms of which many will be semi-double, is a great addition to any flower garden. This extremely carefree and free-blooming climbing vine will bloom early and load itself with masses of attractive brilliantly colored rosy red flowers all summer long. In a good summer will reach 9ft tall when planted from morning glory seed, perfect for covering arbors, trellises and fences.
