Bellflower (Campanula Glomerata Superba) - Adored by hummingbirds and butterflies, Bellflower Superba blooms significantly in early summer, on compact plants. This purple Bellflower spreads and adds a very unique look to any garden or bed. It establishes nicely from flower seed. Once it's established, the plants need to be divided every 3-4 years. It prefers full sun in moist fertile soil. It also make a great cut flower.
Bellflower flower seed requires light to germinate, so don't cover with soil. Instead, lightly press the seeds into the soil to ensure good contact and keep moist until germination. If starting indoors, use a seed-starting mix and bottom water so mold won't form on the mix. Bellflower flower seed can also be sown directly outdoors in prepared beds after last frost.
