Microgreens and sprouts are essentially the same concept but are grown in different ways. Typically, seed sprouts are grown only in water whereas microgreens are grown in soil. Also, seed sprouts are harvested earlier than microgreens.

While microgreens and sprouts are similar, they are not exactly the same. Both are baby plants, both can be grown indoors, and both can be grown from the same types of seeds, but that's where the similarities end.
