Gryphon Begonia is bred for its superb foliage that combines majestic beauty with strength and durability. Its upright, mounded habit produces large, palmate rich green leaves streaked in silver. The undersides of the leaves and slender stems are deep orange-red. Begonia Gryphon is a cultivar in the cane-type begonia group. Traits of cane begonias include thick, upright stems and the absence of rhizomes or tubers. The roots of cane begonias are fibrous.

You can also grow Begonia Gryphon as a houseplant year-round. You can opt to keep it indoors all the time, or you can move the pot outside for the summer months. Just remember to move it back indoors before fall’s first frost.
