Chocolate Cherry (Helianthus Annuus) - Sunflower "Chocolate Cherry" flowers have dark chocolate centers surrounded by petals of a brownish-burgundy color. Plants grow 6 - 8 feet tall and have long flower stems, making this variety a great cut flower. Chocolate Cherry is a striking variety for the back of the border and is excellent for pollinator gardens.
Growing Sunflowers From Seed: Sunflowers are easy to grow from flower seeds. After danger of frost has passed, directly sow Chocolate Cherry Sunflower seeds into prepared seed beds that are weed free and the soil has been loosened. Space the sunflower seeds 12 inches apart, cover the seed 1/2 inch deep, and thin the sunflower seedlings to 24 inches apart.

How to Grow
Sunflowers are easy to grow from flower seeds. After danger of frost has passed, directly sow Chocolate Cherry Sunflower seeds into prepared seed beds where the soil has been loosened.
