Sweet Pea (Lathyrus Odoratus Top To Bottom) - The delicious scent of Sweet Peas is one of the delights of summer! Sweet Pea 'Top to Bottom' won’t disappoint you. This colorful mix of perfumed Lathyrus have been selected for their free-flowering habits, with blooms from the base of the plants to the tips! Flowering early, and continuing over a long period with regular picking, they make fabulous cut flowers with mid-length stems which are perfect for summer bouquets!
For best germination, Sweet Pea seeds need to be scarified before sowing. Nicking the seed with a nail clipper breaks the outer coat so they can absorb water immediately. By doing this a larger percentage of the seeds will germinate and they will sprout a few days earlier. After nicking the seed, soak the Sweet Peas seeds over night in tepid water. Do this the night before sowing the flower seeds directly outside.

Sweet pea does not like to be transplanted so starting indoors is not recommended.
