Superb Pink (Dianthus Superbus Hybrids Mix) - Start this Dianthus flower seed mix for shades of red, rose and white. Dianthus Superbus mix is a perennial Dianthus that reaches approximately 16 inches in height. Dianthus Superbus is hardy to zone 3 and is not frost tender. It typically will flower from late spring to early fall and will begin flowering the first year even when started from flower seeds. Commonly called Superb Pink, these Dianthus flowers are heavily fringed and are also very fragrant. Superb Pinks are a great addition for any flower bed or border, creating a lush mound of blooms.
Sow Dianthus Superbus seeds indoors 4 - 6 weeks before last frost. Use sterile starter mix, and sow the Dianthus seed on top, covering lightly with soil. Transplant seedlings outdoors after frost season has passed. For directly sowing Dianthus flower seeds outdoors, wait until danger of frost is over, and directly sow Dianthus seed into prepared beds. Lightly cover 1/16 inch and keep seeds moist.

Are dianthus plants easy to care for?
