Planting Daikon Radish seeds is straightforward and does not require specialized equipment. Use 10-15 lbs of radish seed per acre, direct sowing seeds 1/2 inch deep in rows 12-18 inches apart. For a smaller area, the seeding rate is 1/2 pound of cover crop seed per 1000 square feet. Aim for 4 - 10 weeks before the first frost – late August in cooler climates, early September in warmer ones. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
