Planting Directions

Dahlia (Dahlia x Hybrida Harlequin Mix) - Harlequin Mix dahlia is an outstanding blend of 2 1/2 inch wide, semi-double flowers in shades of rose, yellow, scarlet, orange, and violet. There will be a few off-type single blooms. Flowers are collared in shorter petals of white or soft yellow. Harlequin Mix dahlias bloom lavishly all summer and into the fall. The 14 inch. tall plants make lively additions to borders or containers. Blooms from Spring to Fall.
Well-draining, rich and fertile soil that is slightly acidic is a must for growing Dahlias. Sow the flower seeds indoors 4 - 6 weeks before the last frost. Lightly cover the seeds with soil or peat moss only the thickness of the seed itself. Transplant seedlings outdoors after danger of frost has passed.
